Employee Spotlight – Alisha Cook
What’s your role at Essendon?
At Essendon, my role is Office Administrator, where I focus on helping colleagues stay organised, gathering the information needed to complete tasks, and requesting any outstanding details from clients. I also support clients with a range of company secretarial responsibilities.
What’s a key client win, process improvement, or a learning from the past quarter?
Over the last quarter, the biggest development has been the introduction of the new Companies House rules. We are now in a transition year, helping clients who need to have their ID verified to meet the new requirements. This has meant learning and using new software, as well as guiding clients through the process and explaining how we can assist.
What are you excited about for 2026?
Looking ahead to 2026, I’m excited to continue progressing at Essendon and to see how the new rules and regulations will shape the year for both us and our clients.
What advice do you have for business owners, and how can you support them?
A key piece of advice I would offer to business owners is the importance of staying organised and planning ahead for key dates throughout the year, helping to reduce last-minute pressure. I also encourage clients who need ID verification to complete this as early as possible, so they know exactly when they are compliant.
